“There's no question, though, of Noone's talent or the talent level behind this production.”

—Ed Siegel, The Boston Globe

The Story
The Gigolo Confessions of Baile Breag

In this, the third instalment of his Baile trilogy, Noone investigates the thin line between love and hate, elation and despair, innocence and experience, vindictiveness and violence, and lust and love.

Noone’s voice continues to grow more powerful and more subtle, and his plays are now one of the highlights of any given theater season. Unlike the more famous trilogy playing in movie theaters, there is no direct relationship between this play and the first two instalments, so you don't need to have seen either of the other two.

Some Nice Things People Said

“But Noone has also created his most fully realized characters in "The Gigolo Confessions." For all their battles and all their potential sins, Paddy and Rosie remain worth rooting for, which says good things not only about the playwright, actors, and director but also -- one suspects -- for Noone's dramaturge and long-time champion Kate Snodgrass..”

The Boston Globe

“In a moment that seems to sum up the play's message, the murder of an innocent is turned into an ironic little song and dance. Some might say that creating songs out of tragedy is a strength that helps the Irish survive but Noone sees a dark side -- people who shirk blame and responsibility, people who just raise a pint and call for a song or a tale.”
